My Travel Skincare (Amsterdam Edition)
For those out of the loop, I spent the first week of the Easter holiday (29th-1st) in Amsterdam with my boyfriend; a wonderful 21st birthday present from him. As we travelled hand luggage only, I had to partake in the hard task of picking my pint-sized skincare for the week. The wonderful Sadie from Vedani Botanicals had sent me one of her new skincare trial kits and I paired this with some of my old favourites. Here's what I took with me...
Vedani Botanicals No. 21 Cleanser*
I recently posted a review of this cleanser and so many of you will already know how much I love it. I simply adore the formula and an oil cleanser is super handy for travel as it is perfect for double cleansing in the evening and removing makeup without the need for a dedicated product. I also took with me some of my favourite muslin cloths (also from Vedani).
Vedani Botanicals No. 21 Moisturiser*
I was really excited to receive a trial set from Sadie as it meant that I would get to try the No. 21 Cleanser's matching moisturiser (in the smaller cleanser bottle). I've only used it a handful of times but it's just as great as the cleanser and definitely something that I will consider repurchasing after making my way through my current stash.
Pukka Organic Rosewater
A recent purchase, and one that will repurchased many times in the future; this rosewater is a great multitasker and super good value at about £10 depending on where you purchase it from. Fancy toners with lots of ingredients are great, but sometimes, it's best to take it down a notch. This 100% organic rosewater was great for travelling; as a toner, cooling spritz, and for soothing my feet during an eczema flare up.
Kypris Beauty Clearing Serum
I've already raved a little about this serum and how it has been keeping my skin happy and clear. With that in mind, I really couldn't leave it behind on our jaunt to Amsterdam. Read my full review here. It's great for morning, evening, and under makeup.
Andalou Naturals Untinted BB Cream
This is an absolute old favourite and it's actually one of the first green beauty products that I ever reviewed, way back in 2014! Don't worry, this isn't the same bottle... I have repurchased this many times and will continue to do so. It's the best natural SPF for combo/oily skin that I have ever tried. Great for chilly but sunny days, layered over a good facial oil for extra moisture.
Natural Wisdom Exfoliator
This is one of the products still hanging around from my Natural Wisdom trial kit, ordered last year. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to try it in Amsterdam as it leaked in transit. However, there is a teeny bit left so hopefully I'll get to try it soon.
Eden Perfumes No. 72
This isn't technically skincare, but it's still something that I want to mention. This is the only perfume that I have been using in 2016 which means that, following this trip, the bottle is now sadly empty. No. 72 from Eden Perfumes is a vegan & cruelty-free reinterpretation of Black XS by Paco Rabanne, one of my favourite scents of all time. The ingredients are a lot better than conventional perfumes, don't make me break out, and this 30ml bottle is only £15. It has already been repurchased. I definitely recommend checking Eden out if you're looking for high quality vegan perfumes. They even have a bricks and mortar store in Brighton!
